Community and Economic Development
Free Child Safety Seat Inspections Available At the inspections, a team of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration trained child passenger safety technicians will inspect child safety seats in vehicles to ensure correct installation. Participants are encouraged to bring safety seat instruction booklets and vehicle owner’s manuals to the checkup. While most parents think they are using their car seat correctly, trained technicians usually find an average of three to five mistakes per seat that could possibly endanger children. Child Safety Seat Checkups give parents an opportunity to receive instruction on how their children can get the best protection in vehicles. The event will be held in the City’s # # # With an emphasis on the City’s urban core neighborhoods and low and moderate income residents, the Community and Economic Development Department strives to improve the quality of life and ensure a healthy economy in San Diego through job development, business development, neighborhood revitalization, public improvements, redevelopment, social services, and revenue enhancement. |
