Technical Policies
Technical Policies are published periodically to clarify the Department’s application of code requirements or product approvals and evaluations. Often, Technical Policies close the gap on issues not considered in a product evaluation report published by ICC Evaluation Services or any other recognized product listing and evaluation services. Additionally, technical policies also consider state of the practice for items not considered by the California Building Code. The following Technical Policies are filed by a sequential numbering system based on the applicable chapter of the applicable code.
