SimplEPermits (On-Line Permits)
No need to visit City Hall! Home owners, property owners and contractors can use this process.
SimplEPermits (On-Line Permits) will be unavailable for public use between Monday 12/24/12 at 12 noon and Wednesday 01/02/13 at 6 a.m.
Simple no-plan permits for water heaters, electrical outlets, gas lines, and simple plumbing work can now be processed and obtained electronically, on-line using your credit card. These simple permits, available by mail or FAX for years are now available on-line as another means of saving you time, money, and effort.
On-Line permitting is open 24 hours, seven days a week; however, permits are processed only until 3:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. For additional information, please review our Frequently Asked Questions.
- Process a simple no-plan permit on-line (via our secure server)
After completing your application on-line, you will receive a response email confirming that your credit card has been charged and your request has been submitted. If you wish, you will be able to print a copy of your completed permit application. In a few days, you will receive an email copy of your permit/invoice with the actual permit number.
Mail or Fax Permits
If you prefer to submit your request by mail or FAX using a Visa or Mastercard, fill out the General Application Form (DS-3032) (Form Filler PDF) and see Information Bulletin 103 - Fee Schedule and Worksheet for Mechanical, Plumbing/Gas, and Electrical Permits (PDF) for further instructions.
