Mayor's Disability Forum, Contributed by San Diego Disability Action Coalition (SDDAC)
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that City facilities and infrastructure of all public and private agencies be accessible. ADA Projects are funded through a portion of proceeds from the sale of City-owned real estate assets (land sales), Community Development Block Grant, Development Impact Fees, etc. The ADA budget from land sales was $10 million annually for FY2008 and FY2009 but since FY2010, land sales have slowed. In FY2012, a total of $1.5 million was allocated.
