Small Business Advocate (Ombuds Services)
The City's Small Business Advocate is responsible for advocating the concerns of small business through direct assistance to individual businesses as well as through partnerships with business groups and through policy development. The Small Business Advocate also provides ombuds assistance specifically to help small businesses with permitting, zoning and regulatory challenges.
The Small Buisness Advocate, along with the Office of Small Business works not only with city, but regional, state and federal regulations that affect small businesses to ensure they are provided with necessary assistance from start-up to expansion.
