The City of San Diego's Small
Business Advisory Board invites small businesses to voice concerns about
issues that affect the small business community. Businesses can address
the board on anything from fees and permits to regulations and availability
of assistance programs. The Board meets monthly at the World Trade Center
Building.
The Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), an SBA partner,
offers workshops throughout the year. Topics include computerized bookkeeping,
use of the internet, marketing, developing a business plan, advertising,
publicity and sales techniques, just to name a few. For detailed information

The San Diego SBA Business Resource Center (BRC), is a small business
hub providing free access to computers, data bases, videos and publications
for existing or start-up entrepreneurs. The BRC provides free SCORE (Service
Corps of Retired Executives) counseling. BRC tools and advice can help
you write business plans, develop marketing and sales techniques, develop
and price products, and explore export markets. Location: 550 West
C St., Ste. 550, downtown San Diego. Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday
