Background

The Elections Task Force was formed by the City Council on February 6, 2006, and is comprised of 9 members of the public and city staff from the offices of the City Attorney, Mayor, Independent Budget Analyst and City Clerk. Members of the public were appointed by each Councilmember and the Mayor, and the selected individuals bring a range of elections-related and community advocate experience to the group. The Task Force will research each of the elections-related topics approved by the Rules Committee. Recommendations will be presented before Rules and may be forwarded for consideration by the full Council.
