Land Survey Services for Capital Projects
The following support services are provided on construction projects.
- Horizontal and Vertical Control for the City - Geodetic Control
- Construction Staking
- Preliminary Design: Topographic Surveys, Hydrology Surveys, Bathymetric Surveys, and Aerial mapping
- Creation of exhibit drawings and legal descriptions
- Land title research
- Determination of property boundary and right-of-way
- Filing of corner records for survey points destroyed by City projects
- Performing records of survey of City owned parcels and right-of-way
- Settlement monitoring on City facilities such as for local reservoirs
- Quality control/quality assurance for resolving discrepancies or disputes
The public may obtain public record information such as copies of Field Survey Notes, Record Maps and as-built drawings at the Development Services Records section at (619) 446-5200.
The public may obtain public record information such as elevations, bench marks, horizontal control and survey monument information by calling the Field Engineering Division, Land Survey Section at (858) 627-3227.
Survey staking services on capital projects require 48 hours notice and are to be contacted by the designated resident engineer on behalf of the contractor.
