Sewer Group Job 738

Project Overview

Sewer Group 738 consists of replacing approximately 5,405 feet or 1.02 miles of sewer mains. The replacement will use the open trench method of construction, with trenches typically 3-5 feet wide dug with excavators and similar large construction equipment.

The majority of construction will occur in the alleys displayed on the attached map. Appropriate traffic control measures will be implemented.

Schedule

Construction Start: September 2011
Construction Finish: March 2012

Benefits

The project will upgrade the sewer system to meet current design standards and comply with EPA environmental requirements.

These sewer main replacements will eliminate future sewer main stoppages and sewer spills, while increasing service reliability to all in the community.

The project also includes installing curb ramps at intersection corners within the project limits, and resurfacing the streets upon completion of the project.

Cost

The project cost is approximately $1.8 million.
