Sewer Main Replacement Group 739A Project
Project Background
Sewer Group 739A is part of the City of San Diego's continuing annual capital improvement program that replaces old, deteriorated sewer mains within the City's right-of-way.
Benefits
Construction of the project will reduce sewer spills and maintenance requirements, improve service reliability and upgrade the system to modern standards. In addition, this project will decrease sewer main breaks and stoppages and improve the sewage collection system within the area. The program also consists of relocating inaccessible sewer mains to the streets, which makes the sewer mains more accessible for maintenance purposes.
Project Overview
Sewer Group 739A will replace and/or install approximately 4,226 linear feet of 12-inch diameter and 226 lineal feet of 8-inch diameter sewer mains. The project includes the connection of existing sewer lateral services to the newly installed sewer mains, and street resurfacing.
The limits of construction activities for Sewer Group 739A are concentrated within the following streets: Sunset Cliffs Boulevard from Point Loma Avenue to Guizot Street, Cordova Street from Guizot Street to first alley south of Hill Street, and Hill Street from Cordova Street to the first alley east of Cordova Street.
Cost
