Intersection Selection Process

Intersections are selected by the Transportation Engineering Division and the San Diego Police Department. The selections are made based on traffic collision history and collision type. Other factors, such as traffic violation history, vehicular and pedestrian traffic volume and speed are considered. In addition, input from residents is also welcome and considered in site selection.
