Landfill Operations Manual

This manual was prepared as a guidance document for the personnel working at the Miramar Landfill to aid them in proper landfill operations. It also serves as a guide for operations supervisory personnel and sets forth contingency plans for special problems and situations that may arise.

Part A- General Overview (PDF: 120K)
The General Overview contains basic knowledge regarding personnel responsibilities, safety practices, fee booth operations, and the overall operations of the landfill.

Part B - Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Part B focuses on Standard Operating Procedures and has been formatted to provide supervisors and their employees with a user-friendly method for access, training, as well as implementation of these procedures.

Forms
The forms section provides easy access to all pertinent field activity forms for each respective section of the Waste Reduction & Disposal Division. By controlling the format of these forms the Division can ensure that each employee operating in the field has access to the most current forms for properly completing the subject field activity.
