The Environmental Protection Division is responsible for the investigation, maintenance, collection and remediation of hazardous substances including household hazardous waste from facilities and vacant land within the City of San Diego. The Division also provides educational outreach programs for City residents and staff. The programs designed and implemented through the Environmental Protection Division are vital to the diversion of dangerous or contaminated substances from our City's land and waterways.
