Tax File Recycling Program

To help San Diegans recycle outdated tax files, the City of San Diego Environmental Services Department and Allan Co. host an annual Tax File Recycling Program every April.

During the two week-long event, the City's Miramar Recycling Center provides secure containers in which residents can drop off old files. At the conclusion of the program, the files are shredded and recycled at an off-site location.

The Tax File Recycling Program is free to both City of San Diego and County residents. Only residential tax files will be accepted by Allan Co., which operates the Miramar Recycling Center.
