The Sustainable Community Program works in concert with other City Departments
and partners in the community to provide guidance that helps decrease
the environmental impact from City operations. This includes more sustainable
choices for fleet vehicles, water and energy usage, and waste management.
Through this program, City staff and the public are the focus of education
and outreach efforts, and a targeted program for local high school students
raises awareness about sustainable practices.
