Online Ethics Training Program
City of San Diego Council Policy 000-04 requires that all City Officials complete ethics training upon assuming office and every two years thereafter. This requirement applies to the City's elected officials as well as to the City's unclassified employees, agency employees, board and commission members, Project Area Committee members, and consultants who file Statements of Economic Interests. Ethics training covers key provisions of the City's Ethics Ordinance.
The Ethics Commission, which is responsible for providing the training, has implemented an online program that allows City Officials to complete the training when it is convenient for their schedule. The training program may be accessed from any computer with internet access. City Officials interested in accessing this program must have a User ID and password. If you are a City Official who is interested in completing the online training program, but do not have the necessary login information, please contact the Ethics Commission at (619) 533-3476 for assistance.
