Paramedic
Because the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department is the primary provider
of 9-1-1 medical service and transportation for San Diego residents, the
San Diego Fire-Rescue Department offers two job opportunities under the
classification of Paramedic I and Paramedic II. These are single role
positions because the personnel are not firefighters but work solely in
the Emergency Medical Services program.
