Communications and Command Van

The Communications and Command Van (COM1) responds on 3rd Alarm or greater incidents in the City of San Diego. COM 1, which is a modified motorhome, contains maps and communication equipment and serves as a command post for large incidents, which reduces the impact of a single, large scale incident on the Fire Communication Center (FCC). COM1 also responds countywide, upon request.
