Nicole Nelson
Research Analyst
Nicole Nelson first joined the Office of the Independent Budget Analyst (IBA) as an Intern during 2007 and returned in February of 2012 as a Research Analyst.
Nicole graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelors degree in Economics & Management Science and a minor in Political Science. After graduating she traveled around the world and the USA, coaching and competing with a local sports team. She also held various jobs as a sponsorship department head and bookkeeper.
Nicole is currently studying Geographic Information Systems through San Diego Mesa College’s certificate program, and hopes to expand on that knowledge through a Master’s program sometime in the future.
