Jeffrey Sturak, Deputy Director

Jeffrey Sturak is the Deputy Director with the Office of Independent Budget Analyst (IBA). He is the IBA's representative to the Rules, Open Government and Intergovernmental Relations Committee.

Prior to this appointment, Mr. Sturak worked in the Budget and Management Services Division of the Financial Management Department for seven years, during which he held various positions including Budget Development Coordinator, Budget Services Administrator, Assistant Deputy Director, and Budget Director.

In addition to his service in the Financial Management Department, in 2003 Mr. Sturak served in the Special Events Office on special assignment as a Management Assistant to the Deputy City Manager. In this capacity Mr. Sturak worked on Super Bowl XXXVII related activities.

In January 2006, Mr. Sturak was appointed the first Deputy Director for the newly created Office of the Independent Budget Analyst. In December 2006, Mr. Sturak left the City to attend culinary school returning to the Office of the Independent Budget Analyst in July, 2007 as a Fiscal & Policy Analyst. In June, 2009 Mr. Sturak was re-appointed to the Deputy Director position.
