With more rain on the way, now is the time to prepare your home to avoid flooding hazards. The Storm Water Department has a few simple tips for rainy days in San Diego.

Scalding liquids are the number one cause of burning injuries among children. Hot liquids can cause first, second or third degree burns depending on the temperature of the liquid and the length of exposure. Scalding injuries are preventable.

FY2010-11 Budget

On December 14, the San Diego City Council approved Mayor Sanders' 18-month spending plan for San Diego, which begins to address the projected deficit for fiscal year 2011 immediately -- spreading spending cuts over a longer period to decrease their impact on services. Read more.
