Preparing for Rain

With more rain on the way, now is the time to prepare your home to avoid flooding hazards. The Storm Water Department has a few simple tips for rainy days in San Diego.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department is providing sandbags (PDF) to residents and businesses located in flood-prone areas.

February 7-13th is Burn Prevention Week

Scalding liquids are the number one cause of burning injuries among children. Hot liquids can cause first, second or third degree burns depending on the temperature of the liquid and the length of exposure. Scalding injuries are preventable.

FY2010-11 Budget
