Surf Rescue/Patrol Vessels

Most of the surf rescue/patrol vessels are 22' Boston Whalers that have been specially modified to deflect oncoming waves. They are powered by 250 hp outboard engines and are capable of responding to offshore emergencies at a rate 40 mph. They carry medical equipment and underwater search and rescue equipment. A towing post is mounted near the stern.
