Mayor's Agenda

Over the course of his final term in office, Mayor Sanders will devote much of his time and energy to several key areas that are important to San Diego’s quality of life.

While he will also continue to pursue other important issues such as enhancing binational relations with Mexico and making San Diego city operations green, Mayor Sanders will focus mainly on the following areas:

• Financial Management and Pension Reform
• Economic Development
• Water Reliability
• Capital Improvement Projects
  • Convention Center Expansion
  • Replacement of Main Library
  • A New Regional Stadium
