Julie Dubick As Mayor Jerry Sanders' Chief of Staff, Julie Dubick oversees the day-to-day operations of the Mayor's Office and is responsible for implementing the Mayor's ambitious agenda for city government. She directs all issues related to policy, communications, community outreach, protocol, intergovernmental relations and appointments to city boards and commissions. Prior to her appointment as Chief of Staff, Dubick served as Deputy Chief of Staff & Director of Policy for Mayor Sanders. In that capacity, she was responsible for a variety of policy areas, including economic development and pension reform. Before joining the Mayor’s Office, Dubick was a partner at the law firm Seltzer Caplan McMahon Vitek. Before that, she was assistant director of the U.S. Marshals Service and an attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. Dubick has served on a number of local nonprofit boards, including Scripps Health, Las Patronas, NCCJ, SDCBA and The San Diego Women’s Foundation, where she served as board president. She is a trained mediator and long time member of the American Arbitration Association. Dubick and her husband, Mitch, live in La Jolla with their daughter Gabby and dog Sadie. The Dubicks also have two grown children, David and Jessica. Last year, the Dubicks welcomed their first grandchild, Sydney Pearl, daughter of Jessica and her husband, Matt. |
