Industrial User Permits

VI. Batch Discharge Authorizations

Batch Discharge Authorizations are used to approve non-routine, short duration discharges of industrial wastewater to sewer, not otherwise regulated by an existing Industrial User Discharge Permit. The requestor should contact the IWCP prior to submitting a Batch Discharge Authorization Request (PDF: 27K) form, for information on which constituents to analyze for. Should the industry propose to discharge the wastewater through a City of San Diego manhole, a signed Indemnification and Hold Harmless Agreement (PDF: 11K) must be submitted with the request form. Industries wishing to discharge to municipal manholes outside the City of San Diego must obtain agency approval to open those manholes in advance.
