Our extensive Speakers Bureau presents professionals from a variety of our facilities that deliver expertise in areas such as chemistry, biology, civil engineering, project management, and ocean monitoring. They'll share information that highlights our:
- Ocean monitoring program including state-of-the-art chemistry and biology laboratories
- Point Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant that processes approximately 180 million gallons of wastewater a day from San Diego and 15 other cities and districts
- North City Water Reclamation Plant (located off I-805 and Miramar Road)
- South Bay Water Reclamation Plant (located off I-5 and Dairy Mart Road)
- Metro Biosolids Center (located on Convoy Street off Route 52)
- Industrial Wastewater Control Program (monitors wastewater from industries)
- Grease-Related Sewer Spill Education
- Sewer Spill Prevention Program
- Volunteer Canyon Watchers Program
- Storm Water Pollution Prevention
Tours
Currently the only tours of Public Utilities facilities being offered are for the Water Purification Demonstration Project.
