Educational District

Educational uses occur in the central portions of NTC where the U.S. Navy conducted training classes and where Navy structures lend themselves to adaptive reuse for educational purposes. This District reflects the history of education that occurred at NTC while the base operated as a boot camp.

High Tech High is located within the Educational District. This public charter school offers courses in telecommunications, biotech, computer software, biomedical and electronics. High Tech High had its first graduating class in June 2003 and recently expanded its campus.

The Rock Academy is a private school within the Educational District offering preschool through 12th grade education. The Rock Academy moved to NTC in August 2007, at which time its high school also opened.
