New parks and open space, hotels and residential neighborhoods will be mixed with restaurants, retail and places of learning - to create a community resource for all San Diego's residents and its visitors to share. The adaptive reuse of 52 buildings in the NTC Historic District will celebrate the heritage of the former Naval base as well as the history of the region.
