Regional Public Safety Training Institute (RPSTI)

The RPSTI is a Joint Powers Authority venture of law enforcement agencies in the region, including the City of San Diego's Police Department and Fire-Rescue Department, San Diego Community College District, and San Diego County Sheriff's Department. It features a wide selection of classrooms and a propane-powered interior fire simulator. The RPSTI is the host site for military, federal, state, and local training classes and events. Facilities are available for rent to both public and private organizations that meet specific requirements. The facility at NTC is adjacent to the City's Ocean Monitoring Laboratory and uses both rehabilitated and new-construction buildings.
