Dance Class Descriptions

Class Description
Ballet: Adults, 15 years and over Ballet technique including barre and center
Ballet: 8 to 17 years Must be intermediate level
Ballet: 7 to 15 years Ballet Technique (Age must be VERIFIED)
Ballet: 7 to 12 years Must be advanced beginner/intermediate level
Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet: 3 to 6 years Creative Movement: Basic dance warm-up with stretching, learning rhythm and to follow the beat, across the floor movements and freestyle creative excercises.

Pre-Ballet: An introduction into the basics of ballet. Basic positions of the feet and arms, warm up steps and across the floor. Stretching and center dance combinations.
Hawaiian Dance: Adults, 18 years and over Beginning level. Traditional movements to Hawaiian music.
Hip Hop: 7 to 15 years Stretch and strengthen exercises, work on body rhythms, dynamics and beat, center combinations. Must be advanced beginner/intermediate level
Hip Hop: 6 to 17 years Stretch and strengthen exercises, work on body rhythms, dynamics and beat, center combinations.
Irish: 7 to 15 years One year jazz or ballet experience required. Jazz or ballet shoes.
Jazz Dance: Adults, 18 years and over Includes stretches, basic jazz technique, and contemporary dance moves
Jazz Dance: 11 to 17 years For teens
Jazz Dance: 6 to 17 years Includes stretches, basic jazz technique and contemporary dance moves
Modern Dance: 12 years and over Must be intermediate ballet or jazz level
Morning Workout: Adults, 18 years and over Stretching, cardio & relaxation (bring towel or mat)
Musical Theatre Dance: Adults, 18 years and over Must be intermediate Jazz level. Musical Theatre classes are designed to combine movement with acting skills to convey a story or scene from a musical. Students will not be learning vocal technique.
Musical Theatre Dance: 8 to 17 years Must be intermediate Jazz level. Musical Theatre classes are designed to combine movement with acting skills to convey a story or scene from a musical. Students will not be learning vocal technique.
Parent/Child: 6 to 17 years Enjoy a class with your child
Swing: Adults 18 years and over Dancers will learn the basics of 6 count Swing, including turns and some classic Swing moves. No partner needed! All dancers will learn how to lead and follow. Jazz shoes or Sneakers.
Tap Dance: Adults, 18 years and over Includes basic steps and dance routines
Tap Dance: 11 to 17 years For Teens
Tap Dance: 6 to 17 years Includes basic tap steps and combinations, tap shoes needed
Tap Dance: 4 and 5 years Introduces basic tap steps, tap shoes needed (Age must be VERIFIED)
Tumbling/Dance: 6 to 17 years This class works on the mats learning tumbling skills that are then incorporated into dance moves and routines.
Zumba® (dance/excercise): 18 years and over Zumba® fuses Latin music and rhythms with easy to follow moves to keep you moving, dancing, and sweating. Have fun while getting fit!
