The City of San Diego Park & Recreation Department offers a wide variety of senior services throughout the city. Whether you're a senior or you have friends or family that are seniors, our Senior Citizen Services offers important information that can positively affect the health, safety and financial security of seniors. Our quarterly newsletter, The Scroll (PDF: 750K), lists senior activities and events and we also have many Senior Centers located throughout the city. Volunteer OpportunitiesVolunteers are key to the success of the senior office downtown San Diego, the Senior Lounge in Balboa Park, as well as the trips, dances and special events. Legal AssistanceFree legal assistance about general legal issues concerning seniors, 60 years or older, is available from Senior Citizen Services located in the City Administration Building lobby, located at 202 C Street, in downtown San Diego. An attorney is available to provide free legal assistance on such legal issues as will and renter disputes. For an appointment to see a volunteer attorney, please call (858) 565-1392.
