Recreation Center Hours
Monday: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday:
2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday: Noon to 7:00 p.m.
Friday: Noon to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Sunday: Noon to 4:00 p.m.

Facilities
Outdoor basketball courts, a children's play area, picnic tables near BBQ grills and a community building for meetings and classes.

Youth Soccer - 8 to 14 yrs old, $10.00 per player. Age verification required. Game days and times TBA.
Spring Day Camp - March 17 to March 28 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for children 8 to 12 yrs old. $30 per kid per week due at time of registration and space is limited to the first 30 kids that sign up. Registration begins Monday, March 3 during normal hours of operation.
Spring Egg Hunt - Saturday March 22 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. All ages are welcome and refreshments will be available for purchase!
Egg Hunt Schedule, 10:00 a.m. 1 to 3 yrs w/parent, 10:30 a.m. 4 to 6 yrs w/out parent, 11:00 a.m. 7 to 9 yrs w/out parent, 11:30 a.m. 10 to 12 yrs w/out parent. Bring your basket to collect bunny eggs!
History of the Center
The center was built in 1972 and serves the recreational and leisure needs of children and adults living in the densely populated area of Azalea Park in City Heights.

From Interstate 805 North take the Home Ave. exit and turn left. Turn left on Fairmount Ave. Turn left on Poplar St. which will curve into Violet St. Remain on Violet until you see the center ahead.
From Interstate 805 South take the Home Ave. exit and turn right. Turn left on Fairmount Ave. Turn left on Poplar St. which will curve into Violet St. Remain on Violet until you see the center ahead.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 13 & 965.
