Badminton Lessons - Two classes are being offered on Fridays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. or 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Ages 10 years and up. Cost is $10 per month (once per week for four weeks). All Registration is taken the first week of every month. *No refunds are permitted.* The Balboa Park Activity Center (BPAC) is a multi-purpose gymnasium built to accommodate badminton, table tennis, volleyball and other events, including regional, state and national tournaments. The Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair and a variety of tournaments for people with disabilities are also held at the Balboa Park Activity Center. Basketball is available at the Municipal Gym in Balboa Park. History of the Center Directions and Bus RouteThe Activity Center is on the right at the corner of Park Blvd and Inspiration Point Way. From Interstate 8, take Highway 163 South. From 163 South, take the Park Blvd exit and make a left on to Park Blvd. From Interstate 5 South, take the 10th Ave exit to "A" Street. Take "A" Street to 12th Ave and turn left. 12th Ave becomes Park Blvd. From Interstate 5 North, take the "B" Street exit. Turn left on to "B" Street, then turn right on 12th Ave. 12th Ave becomes Park Blvd. From Highway 94 West, continue until freeway ends and becomes "F" Street. Continue on "F" Street to 12th Ave and turn right on 12th. 12th Ave. becomes Park Blvd. Parking for the Activity Center is located in the large old Navy Hospital Parking Lot which may be accessed from Inspiration Point Way off of Park Blvd. Parking Is Free. The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 7. |
