Recreation Center Hours
Monday: CLOSED
Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Wednesday: Noon to 9:00 p.m.
Thursday: Noon to 7:00 p.m.
Friday: Noon to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Facilities
Facilities include two softball fields, a Little Padres baseball field, a recently renovated tot lot, a dog off-leash park, a tennis court, one outdoor basketball court, a horse shoe pit and several picnic areas overlooking Mission Bay. See a map (PDF: 215K) of Clairemont Area facilities.

History of the Center
The land where the center and the park are now located was once owned by the Santa Fe Railroad. In 1967 it was purchased by the City of San Diego and with the help of many community members, it became what it is today, with an official opening in 1968.
Directions and Bus Route

From Interstate 5 North take the Balboa Ave. exit. Go east to Moraga Avenue. Turn left on Moraga and proceed to Moraga Court. Turn left. Moraga Court will become Avati. Road will curve to the left. The center is on the right.
From Interstate 5 South exit to Interstate 52. Take the Regents Road/Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Exit and go south up the hill. Turn right on Moraga Ave. Turn right on Moraga Court. Moraga Court will become Avati. Road will curve to the left. The center on the right.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 27 & 105.
