Recreation Center Hours
Monday to Friday:
2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Saturday: 11:00 am to 3:00 p.m
Sunday: CLOSED

Facilities
Outdoor basketball courts, hand ball courts, a children’s play area, park areas with picnic facilities and outside restrooms, lighted fields for youth and adult softball and baseball, a gymnasium, one meeting rooms, kitchen and community clubhouse, all available for rental use. Call the center for details.

History of the Center
The Golden Hill playground is one of the oldest in the city, dedicated in July of 1914. The building was the first publicly owned recreation facility in San Diego, paid for with money raised from public subscription by the San Diego Playground Association through the Golden Hill and Brooklyn Heights Improvement Clubs.

From Interstate 5, take the Pershing Drive exit. Turn right on 26th Street, then left on Golf Course Drive. The center is on the right.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 2.
