Recreation Center Hours
Monday to Thursday:
2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sunday: CLOSED

Closures
Fields closed for maintenance from July 1st - July 31st
Facilities
Outdoors there are multipurpose fields, two lighted and four unlighted ball fields, a tot lot, a BMX track, soccer field, comfort stations, picnic areas, fenced leash free dog park and a swimming pool. Inside the rec center you will find an indoor gym, a game room and craft room, and a large meeting room which is available for rent. Call the center for details. Large groups are welcome with adequate parking for all. Party jumps are welcome. Rental fee applies.

Little League boys baseball and girls softball: Began March 1st. Teams are still registering if space is available.
Tap and Jazz dance: June 22nd to August 29th. Class at Kearny is on Wednesday.
Swimming lessons, lap swim, aerobics: see pool for details. Open Memorial Day, May 25th, from noon to 3:00 p.m.
Recreation league youth soccer: full for the spring
Coed Adult Softball: full until August 1st
Womens Soccer: full until August 1st
Mens Soccer: full until August 1st
Dog Park: open daily 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This park is lighted.
Mens Basketball League: Plays on Monday nights
Open play basketball: See calendar in the office. Times change daily.
Youth tackle football: Registration in April, May and June
Recreation center youth summer basketball: July 11th to August 29th. Registration begins June 1st.
History of the Center
Kearny Pool opened in 1970 and the Recreation Center opened four years later. The facility is almost 12,000 square feet, located on more than 70 acres.
Directions and Bus Route

From Interstate 163 North or Interstate 805 North take the Mesa College Drive exit and turn left. Follow Mesa College Drive until you see the park at the end of the street. Turn left on Armstrong and look for the parking lot.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 44.
