Open 10:00 a.m. to Dusk every day of the year, including holidays

Features of the Skate Park

The park features 22,000 square feet of skate-able surface, including elements such as railings, stairs, a ten-foot "key hole" and a ninety-foot long "snake run." There is also a beginner's bowl for young skaters to develop their skills.


History of the Skate Park
This skate park, located on 30th Street, near the Memorial Recreation Center and next to Memorial Community Park, opened in 2004 and serves the communities of Memorial, Barrio Logan, Grant Hill, Logan Heights, Sherman Heights, Stockton, Southcrest, Mount Hope, Mountain View, and Shelltown. The project took two years to complete from the plannning stages to final construction. Funds for the approximately $1.4 million skate park came from the City, matching grant funds and private industry.

Interstate 5  south, exit 28th St./National Ave. Turn right on National Ave., left on 29th St., then right on Marcy Ave. Parking is available on Marcy Ave. or 30th St.

The Skate Park is accessible by bus via San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (SDMTS ) bus routes 3 &11.

Know the Rules!

•  Parent or legal guardian must accompany children under 12 years
•  Only roller skates, inline skates and skate boards are allowed; no scooters, bicycles and any motorized vehicles are allowed
•  Skaters must be in full safety equipment to enter: Helmets, Elbow and Knee Pads designed for skateboarding
•  Visitors/Spectators not skating are required to remain outside fenced area
•  No smoking, alcohol, food or drink, or glass containers allowed inside the skate park
•  Littering and graffiti are not permitted
•  Unauthorized ramps, jumps or obstacles cannot be used inside or outside the skate park area
•  Animals are not permitted in the skate park
