Wednesday  & Thursday:

San Diego Special Olympics on Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Youth Soccer sign up on March 21, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Daily Basketball for youth & adults, open play

Sports for Exceptional Athletes on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Fit for Life conditioning aerobics exercise/nutrition workshop classes. Be active and eat well. Move/Me Muevo Project (Obesity Prevention & Control Program). Call Trena at (619) 516-3082 for more information.


History of the Center

The Mid City Gymnasium opened in 1996 as a result of strong community organization and effort. It was part of the first phase of City Heights Urban Village, bringing together in one location a number of opportunities in recreation and education.


Directions and Bus Route

Map this location

From Interstate 8 take the Mission Gorge/Fairmount Avenue. Travel south on Fairmount which will become 43rd Street. The gym is on the left at 43rd and Landis Street.

From Interstate 805 or Interstate 15 take the University Avenue exit and go East. Turn right on Fairmount and left on Landis.

The gym is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 7, 10 and 13.
