History of the Center
The center was built in 1986 on what was previously just open space.

From Interstate 805 take the Imperial Ave exit and head east, make a right on to Valencia St and then left on to Skyline. The center is on your right.
From Interstate 54 take the Woodman Street exit, head north to Skyline Drive and turn left. The center is on your left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 11.

Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Council A citizen advisory group made up of interested public members and group that use our facility to meet every month. The council meets on the fourth Wednesday at Noon in meeting room 1. All members of the community are encouraged to attend.
