Permit Processing and Class Registration Days and Times
Permits and class registration fees will be accepted without an appointment on the following days only. To make an appointment for a different time, call the Center Director at (619) 235-1152.

Facilities
An indoor gymnasium with a wood floor, craft room, meeting room, teen center, two outdoor basketball courts, handball courts, three tennis courts, a children’s play area and multipurpose field.

What's Coming

Youth Soccer Sign-ups begin March 1 – April 16, 2010
Pee Wee Division (ages 5 to 7 years old)
8 to 10 years old
11 to 12 years old
13 to 14 years old
15 to 16 years old

Player must be these ages on or before June 20, 2010.
Cost: $5.00 per player / Season begins in April 2010.
Games and practices times to be announced.
*Bring a picture, proof of age, completed liability waiver and exact change.

Spring Break Activities starting March 29 - April 2, 2010 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Free daily activities.

History of the Center
The land was acquired in 1912, then dedicated in 1928. Hall of Fame baseball player Ted Williams used to play here as a child. The rec center is one of the oldest in the city.

From Interstate 805, take the El Cajon Boulevard exit and go west. Take El Cajon Boulevard to Idaho Street and turn left. The center is on the right hand side. 

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 1, 2, 6, 7, 10, 15 & 966.
