The Ocean Beach Recreation Center offers Youth/Adult Self Defense classes, Gymnastics/Tumbling Classes, Ballet Classes, a Tiny Tots “Art in the Park” program, Youth City Dance Classes, Youth Soccer Leagues, Youth Flag-Football Leagues, as well as Adult Pottery/Sculpture Classes, Adult Coed Dodgeball Leagues, Adult Coed Kickball Leagues, Women’s Softball Leagues, & Men’s 16” Softball Leagues. Don’t forget about our ANNUAL HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL on October 24th from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

Attention: We are looking for Teams for our Men’s 16” softball league. If you are interested, please call the Ocean Beach Recreation Center at 619-531-1527. A new season will begin in January. Games are played on Tuesday nights at Bob Kenny field on the corner of Newport and Ebers.

History of the Center

Dedicated in 1950, the center is one of the oldest in the City with 59 years of history hosting the annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival.

From Interstate 8 West take the Sunset Cliffs Blvd. exit to Santa Monica and turn left. The center is on the left, across from the elementary school.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 35 & 923.
