The North Clairemont Recreation Center offers year round tennis lessons. Youth sports are offered seasonally: winter/summer is basketball, spring is soccer and fall is flag football.

Field and Park Permits
Field and Park Permits are available by appointment only. Call (858) 581-9926 to schedule an appointment.
History of the Center
The park land was acquired in 1954 and the recreation center was built in 1960. An official dedication ceremony took place in 1974.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 805 take the Clairemont Mesa Boulevard West exit to Genesee Avenue. Turn left on Genesee and then right on Bannock Avenue. The center will be on the left.
From Interstate 5 take state Route 52 east to the Genesse Avenue exit, turn left (south) onto Genesee. Turn right on Bannock Avenue. The center will be on the left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS Routes 41, 44 and 50.

Facilities
A gymnasium for basketball, outdoor basketball and tennis courts, a multi purpose field, a children's play area and a community building for classes and meetings.
The following parks and athletic areas can be reserved by calling the center: Olive Grove Park, East Clairemont Athletic, North Clairemont Park, Mount Acadia Park, Mount Etna Park, Gershwin Park, and MacDowell Park. See a map (PDF) of Clairemont Area facilities.
North Clairemont Community Recreation Group
The group represents the communities around North Clairemont and Cadman Recreation Centers. The group is looking for new members. Membership is free and open to the public. This group serves as an advisory group to the City of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department and facilities. Meetings are held at 5:00 PM on the third Wednesday of each month.
