FREE SPRING LUNCH PROGRAM

Free Spring Lunch will be offered to children 18 years and younger Monday through Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. starting March 30 through April 24. This program is offered in partnership with the San Diego Unified School District, and received an Award of Excellence from the California Parks and Recreation Society.

Zumba®!

Attention teens & adults! Zumba® class is now being offered at Colina Del Sol Recreation Center. Day and time to be arranged. Please contact staff if you are interested in participating.

Register Online!

Visit SDRecConnect (link) to conveniently browse a variety of activities offered by the City of San Diego Park and Recreation Department and Recreation Councils. Itís as easy as One, Two, and Three. Sign up for an account, find a class or activity, and register!

If you are registering a child for an activity, please do not use the childís information when completing a New Account. Adding family members after successfully creating an account can be completed later.

Please note: An email which includes a confirmation message with a special first-time activation link will be sent after signing up a new primary account. It is possible the email may go to your junk or spam folder. You will not be able to use your new account until you've used this special link!

Parks Fit

The Parks Fit San Diego Challenge is to walk or run 30 miles between June 20th and August 20th. Track your mileage and receive a free "I got fit in my park" t-shirt if you complete the 30 miles by the August 20th deadline. Then compete in the finale at NTC/Liberty station park Saturday, August 22, 2015.

The BookNook program is a "take a book, leave a book" gathering place where you can share your favorite literature and stories.

History of the Center

Colina Del Sol Recreation Center was dedicated to the City of San Diego in 1962. The park was named following a contest conducted through the area elementary schools whose students wanted it to be named "Slopes of the sun."


Directions and Bus Route

Map this location

From Highway 94, exit Euclid Ave. and travel north. Turn left on Trojan Street, then left on 52nd Street. Turn left on Orange Ave. The park is on the right.

From Interstate 8, exit College Ave. south and turn right on El Cajon Blvd. Proceed to 52nd Street and turn left, then left again on Orange Ave. The park is on the right.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 1, 7, 10, 15, 955.
