YOUTH SOCCER

Fun developmental soccer league with games played against teams from neighboring City of San Diego Recreation Centers. Players will learn the fundamentals of ball control, dribbling, headers, passing, shooting and goalkeeping. We are accepting registrations now for boys and girls ages 8 to 16 years.
Season starts March 21 and ends June 13
Cost is $12 for the season, with no uniform fees

YOUTH VOLLEYBALL

Get ready to bump, set spike in this fun developmental volleyball league with games played against teams from neighboring City of San Diego Recreation Centers. Boys and girls will learn the fundamentals of volleyball. Transportation is not provided for away games. Children may not participate in club or other volleyball programs during the season For boys and girls ages 10 to 16 years
Cost is $12 for the season, with no uniform fees

Youth Basketball Registration

Join this fun developmental league for boys and girls ages 8 to 14 years. Games will be played against teams from neighboring City of San Diego Recreation Centers. Athletes will learn dribbling, shooting, passing, offensive, defensive drills and game strategy.
Registration: starts November 22
Fee: $12 for the season.

Be advised that the ActiveNet online registration system will be unavailable for maintenance Monday, September 7th from 1 PM - midnight PST. Access to this system will not be
available during this time. Customers will not be able to view activity schedule and facility availability. No enrollments or reservations can be made during the maintenance hours.

The BookNook program is a "take a book, leave a book" gathering place at your favorite recreation center. Share your favorite literature and stories with others.

History of the Center

The Recreation Center reopened in the Spring of 2004 after being closed for over a year due to a fire that destroyed part of the center.

From Interstate 805 South, take the 905 West and exit on Picador/Smythe. Turn left on Smythe and proceed to Avenida de la Madrid. Turn left on Avenida de la Madrid. Turn left on Blando Lane. Proceed two blocks to Diza Road and turn left.

From Interstate 5 South, take the 905 East and exit on Picador/Smythe. Turn right on Smythe and proceed to Avenida de la Madrid. Turn left on Avenida de la Madrid. Turn left on Blando Lane. Proceed two blocks to Diza Road and turn left.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS route 932 & the San Diego Trolley.
