The Ocean Beach Recreation Center offers Youth/Adult Self Defense classes, Gymnastics/Tumbling Classes, Ballet Classes, Youth City Dance Classes, Youth Soccer Leagues, Youth Flag-Football Leagues, as well as Adult Pottery/Sculpture Classes, Adult Coed Dodgeball Leagues, Adult Coed Kickball Leagues, Women’s Softball Leagues, & Men’s 16" Softball Leagues. History of the Center
Dedicated in 1950, the center is one of the oldest in the City with 62 years of history hosting the annual Ocean Beach Kite Festival.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 8 West take the Sunset Cliffs Blvd. exit to Santa Monica and turn left. The center is on the left, across from the elementary school.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 35 & 923.
