Youth Flag Football
Fun developmental youth flag football league with games played against teams from neighboring City of San Diego Recreation Centers. Athletes will learn punting, passing, offensive and defensive drills, and game strategy. Jerseys will be provided for game day. Transportation is not provided for away games. Children may not participate in club or other football programs during the season.
Season Dates: September 1 to December 14
For boys and girls ages 8 to 16 years.
Cost is $25 for the season, with no uniform fees.
Featured New Class – Soul Line Dance
Dance to soul and R&B music. This class offers great exercise, relieves stress and is a fun place to dance with friends. This class is for men and women 18 years and older.
Class is Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The BookNook program is a "take a book, leave a book" gathering place at your favorite recreation center. Share your favorite literature and stories with others.
History of the Center
The site was first acquired in 1961 and the center was built in 1974. It was dedicated on March 6, 1975 and since then has served approximately 10,000 community members every year.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 805, take Interstate 54 East. Take the Woodman exit. Turn left and proceed to Alta View Drive, then turn left. Follow Alta View to Potomac St. and turn right on Potomac Street. The Recreation Center on the west side of the street.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 961 & 962.
