History of the Center

This center was dedicated in 1952. This recreation center has evolved into a popular location for the local community and visitors from around the globe.  Complete with a scenic view of the bay, the ball field, basketball courts, and picnic areas serve as a wonderful spot to enjoy one of San Diego’s finest parks. This center has also become known for its special events throughout the year. Offering a variety of fundamental free weights and new fitness machines, our weight room is one of the oldest, but finest weight rooms in our Park and Recreation Department, and still maintains the character of a standard work out facility.
