Youth Flag Football
This league is for all skill levels. Teams will play other recreation centers in the area and have a chance to qualify for the city-wide tournament in March.
Season: August through December 2015
Divisions: Peewee, 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u
Cost: $15 per player
All costs will go towards player awards and a year-end banquet

Toys for Tots
Starts Monday, October 13 through November 20, 2015
Toys for Tots is a program that provides toys for low income families with children 12 years of age and younger. Families applying must qualify under country low-income guidelines to be eligible.
Teen Night on Friday nights includes a variety of activities and field trips for pre – teens and teens ages 12 to 17 to keep them off the streets, and to get more involved with participating recreation center such as Southcrest Recreation Center. There will be cooking classes, art activities, PS3 and X-box games, special events, sport activities, video game trucks, padre games, and much more. Southcrest will be the place on Friday Nights to hang-out with friends in a safe environment. Best of all... It's FREE!!!
Monday through Thursday 1:00 to 7:45 p.m.
Friday 1:00 to 6:45 p.m.
Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Ages: 12 and up
$10 per month, paid only at every first of the month. Any payments made after only valid through end of month.

Southcrest Recreation Center offers Ceramics Classes, Cooking Classes, Youth/Adult Soccer Leagues, Youth Flag-Football Leagues, Youth Basketball leagues, and Baseball Leagues as well as Recreational open gym Basketball.

The BookNook program is a "take a book, leave a book" gathering place at your favorite recreation center. Share your favorite literature and stories with others.
History of the Center
The Southcrest Civic Club built the original building at this site, then donated it to the City of San Diego. Materials and labor were donated by local merchants, residents and labor unions. The center was dedicated in 1950.
Directions and Bus Route
From Interstate 805 take the 43rd Street exit and turn right at the traffic signal. Proceed two blocks and turn left on Newton Avenue. The center is on the left.
The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 11, 955.
