Summer Day Camps - The San Carlos Recreation Center is offering 11 one week camps for children 6 to 12 years of age. The first camp begins the week of June 16th and the last the week of August 24. The fee is $100.00 for residents and $110.00 for nonresidents of the City of San Diego. The children have a wide variety of activities each week plus a field trip. Children must be signed up prior to the first day of each camp.  The camp is offered Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. For more information please telephone the center at (619) 527-3443. Registration begins May 4th.

Basketball - Signups began on April 13th and continue through May 8th. Cost for the league is $50. A copy of the player’s birth certificate is required. Volunteer coaches needed. Please contact the office for more information.

History of the Center

The San Carlos Recreation Center opened in 1970, following planning meetings held in area resident's homes. Many of the people who were committed to having recreational opportunities in the San Carlos community then, remain involved with current on-going programs and special events.

From Interstate 8 take the Lake Murray exit. Take Lake Murray to Jackson Drive and turn left. Take Jackson Drive to Lake Badin and turn right the center is on the corner of Lake Badin and Lake Adlon.

The center is accessible by bus via SDMTS routes 115 & 854.
