Come enjoy the bay views and ocean air of Santa Clara Recreation Center!

This recreation center is located right on the water in Mission Bay. It offers two rooms for rentals, tot lots, picnic areas, a softball field, outdoor courts, a weight room, plus various classes and programs. Please be sure to check out our latest Program Guide for more information.

Spring Carnival – It’s Spring, Go Bananas! Come join us for our annual Egg Hunt on Saturday March 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. There will also be carnival games, arts and crafts, a Mini Fire Truck ride, plus snacks and refreshments. Spring Senior Luncheon – Be a part of our annual Spring luncheon on Saturday May 1st from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Join us for entertainment, lunch, and friends! This event is free, but reservations are requested. Space is limited!

History of the Center
This center was dedicated in 1952.  This recreation center has evolved into a popular location for the local community and visitors from around the globe.  Complete with a scenic view of the bay, the ball field, basketball courts, and picnic areas serve as a wonderful spot to enjoy one of San Diego’s finest parks.  This center has also become known for its special events throughout the year.  Offering a variety of fundamental free weights and new fitness machines, our weight room is one of the oldest, but finest weight rooms in our park and recreation department and still maintains character of a standard work out facility.

From Interstate 8, take the Mission Bay Drive exit and travel northwest. Exit right onto West Mission Bay Drive and stay on Mission Bay Drive until you see Mission Boulevard. Turn right on Mission Boulevard and then right again on Santa Clara Place. The recreation center will be at the end of the parking area.

The center is accessible by bus via San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (SDMTS) routes 8 / 9.
